Long time Texas Rangers radio play by play man Eric Nadel, known as the "voice of the Texas Rangers," has been named the winner of the 2014 Ford C. Frick Award, which is awarded by the Baseball Hall of Fame for excellence in broadcasting.
Nadel has been a major voice in my life dating all the way back to my childhood, and I remember going to sleep in the summers to the sound of Nadel and Mark Holtz doing the games on WBAP 820.
Nadel is one of the really terrific radio broadcasters, and is well deserving of this honor.
