Friday morning Rangers news and links

February is here. That means that pitchers and catchers report this month.

Jeff Wilson has a story about Nelson Cruz denying the "allegations and inferences" as to Cruz in the Miami New Times story linking him to PED use.

Gerry Fraley has some details about the law firm that is working with Nelson Cruz on the Miami New Times/PED issue. Fraley notes that the statement denying any involvement by Cruz was issued Tuesday, but did go into "circulation" until Thursday.

Richard Durrett asks if Derek Holland can rebound from his mediocre 2012 season.

T.R. Sullivan has a story about the four players in the Rangers minor league system -- Cody Buckel, Joey Butler, Junior Felix, and Nick Tepesch -- who have earned an invite to the major league spring training camp. I don't think any of them has much of a chance of making the Opening Day roster, although last season at this time, I dismissed the possibility of Robbie Ross making the Opening Day roster. I guess Joey Butler could theoretically stick as a RH bench bat, but he's pretty much limited to RF defensively, and he's not that much of a hitter, so even that seems like a long shot.
