Former Ranger Mark Hamburger Suspended 50 Games for a "drug of abuse"

Per various reports on Twitter, former Texas Ranger reliever Mark Hamburger has been suspended for fifty games due to a second positive test for a "drug of abuse."

Hamburger, acquired in 2008 from the Twins in exchange for Eddie Guardado, appeared in 5 games for the Rangers in 2011. He came into camp in 2012 missing the velocity he'd shown in previous years, and ended up getting waived last summer by Texas. San Diego claimed Hamburger, then waived him a month later, with Houston claiming him on waivers that time around.

The Astros released Hamburger on February 13, 2013.
