The Rangers won their exhibition game yesterday, 6-2, and Drew Davison has a game story about it.
Evan Grant has his report from yesterday's win at the DMN Rangers blog.
Ron Matejko has his "Rapid Reaction" from yesterday's victory at the ESPN Dallas blog.
Grant writes that the uncertainty in the bullpen has resulted in the Rangers scouting the Yankees and Red Sox, each of whom may have a surplus in the bullpen.
Gil Lebreton has a column on Jurickson Profar, with quotes from Jon Daniels and Ron Washington saying they haven't made a decision yet about what to do with Profar to start the season.
Grant also writes that the Rangers have a decision still to make with Profar.
To me, nothing has changed...there's no point in taking a 20 year old stud prospect and having him spend a season in the majors in a bench role. If someone gets hurt, then call Profar up. Otherwise, there's no reason to have him on the bench starting once or twice a week.
Davison has a story on Craig Gentry fighting to win the starting center field job. I still anticipate that Leonys Martin will be the starter, and Gentry will be the fourth outfielder.
Matejko writes that Randy Wells, an NRI fighting for a job, had his best outing of the spring yesterday, allowing one run in five innings.
The S-T's notes talk about Jurickson Profar going to the WBC, Derek Lowe making his spring debut today, and the ongoing uncertainty in the bullpen, with Tanner Scheppers, Josh Lindblom, and Evan Meek all having rough springs.
T.R. Sullivan's notes hit on Profar and the WBC, Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus's aggressive baserunning sparking yesterday's win, the rotation apparently being set up for Matt Harrison to start Opening Day, and Lowe's debut.
Davison has a Q&A with catcher A.J. Pierzynski.
