USA TODAY Sports

The players the Rangers select in day three of the 2013 MLB Draft

11th round -- Ryan Cordell, OF, Liberty University

Ryan Cordell is listed at 6'3", 205 lbs. He's a junior at Liberty University. The report on him is that he has swing issues, but is toolsy. Baseball America had him ranked #196 in their top 500.

12th round -- Derek Thompson, LHP, John A. Logan College

Derek Thompson is a 6'4", 170 lb. lefthanded pitcher out of John A. Logan College in Illinois. High-80s fastball and a plus changeup.

13th round -- Taylor Olmstead, RF, Greenwich HS (Connecticut)

Olmstead is a 6'3", 200 lb. righthanded right fielder.

14th round -- Jarred Smith, RHP, State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota

20 year old Juco pick, listed at 6', 190 lbs.

15th round -- Cody Ege, LHP, University of Kentucky

22 year old college junior. Listed at 6'1", 185 lbs.

16th round -- Marcus Greene, C, New Mexico Junior College

18 year old 5'11", 195 lb. junior college catcher. He was drafted in the 39th round out of high school by the Marlins last year. Baseball America has him ranked #330 overall. He's described as athletic with good makeup.

17th round -- Sean Labsan, LHP, Riverview HS (Sarasota, FL)

LHP listed at 5'9", 185 lbs.

18th round -- David Gates, RHP, Howard College

Howard College is in Texas, so we have the local angle here. Gates is 6'3", 215 lbs., and a 20 year old junior college pitcher. Baseball America ranks him at #161 in their top 500. He throws really hard -- upper 90s, with rumors he hit 100, per Kiley McDaniel. BA said he's considered easily signable, and wrote he could go in the 5th round, which makes it surprising he lasted this long. There are apparently significant makeup concerns with Gates, with BA saying he got thrown off his high school team in Lubbock and had "off-field" issues both at Texas Tech (where he red-shirted last year) and at Howard College.

19th round -- Joseph Ledbetter, RHP, Cedarville University

The twin brother of David Ledbetter, the Rangers' 3rd round pick. 6'1", 185 lbs.

20th round -- Jackson Lamb, RHP, Bedford HS (Michigan)

Listed at 6'6", 195 lbs. Ranked #306 in the Baseball America rankings. He's a basketball player as well as a baseball player, and is apparently committed to Michigan. Doesn't look like someone who will sign.

21st round -- Lucas Lanphere, RHP, Citrus Valley HS (California)

6'2", 175 lbs. 17 years old. Ranked #491 in BA's rankings. Per BA "[h]is best asset is the projection remaining," so there you go.

22nd round -- Zachary Winn, RHP, Show Low HS (Arizona)

6'1", 162 lbs. Not in BA's top 500.

23rd round -- Luis Pollorena, LHP, Mississippi State

6'2", 190 lbs. 18 years old.

29th round -- Justin Sprenger, RHP, Tennessee Wesleyan

6'4", 185 lbs. High schooler.

36th round -- Dakota Hudson, RHP, Sequatchie County HS (Tennessee)

6'4", 185 lb. RHP. Has touched 94 mph, also has a curveball. Has upside and athleticism. Ranked #317 on the Baseball America top 500.

37th round -- Cody Lavalli, OF, Lewis & Clark

6'4", 190 lbs. Righthanded.

38th round -- Sheldon Neuse, SS/RHP, Fossil Ridge HS (Texas)

6', 175 lbs. He is an OU commit. Ranked #303 on the Baseball American top 500 list. Viewed as a future first rounder a few years ago, but his tools haven't developed. Likely goes to OU rather than signing, at this point.
