Per Anthony Andro, both Jeff Baker and Craig Gentry are expected to be activated from the disabled list tomorrow, prior to the Rangers game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Baker has been on the disabled list with a sprained thumb suffered as a result of a high-five from a teammate, while Gentry has been recovering from a fractured hand. The Rangers have had a lack of righthanded hitting options with the two of them sidelined, and with lefty Wei-Yin Chen starting for the Orioles tomorrow, I would expect both players to be in the starting lineup.
The Rangers have been using a three man bench lately, and if they stay with the three man bench, Engel Beltre and Robinson Chirinos will likely be optioned to make room for Baker and Gentry on the active roster. If the Rangers opt to send a pitcher down and go with a four man bench, Joseph Ortiz, Wilmer Font or Cory Burns could end up being sent down.
UPDATE -- John Blake just tweeted that Wilmer Font and Robinson Chirinos have been optioned, and Baker and Gentry will be activated tomorrow.
