82-68 - HOLY CRAP THE RANGERS WON A BASEBALL GAME!!

All smiles - Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

I choose to believe that this is the start of something amazing

For the first time in nine days, the Rangers have won a baseball game. With the win, the Rangers move back into a tie with Tampa Bay for the top spot in the American League Wild Card standings.

Alexi Ogando had his best start since the beginning of June, as he allowed only one Rays run, over five innings, when he was expected to go only three or four innings. It was most needed. It won't be forgotten.

In a cathartic display, the offense scored seven runs - in only the second time since August 28 that the Rangers have plated more than five runs - as Ian Kinsler contributed with a home run and three RBIs.

Elvis Andrus also went deep, his third home run of the season, and drove in three runs himself. You can't waste Elvis dongs.

*Exhale*

Player of the Game: Kinsler got the Rangers off on the right foot with a homer to lead off the game. That, incredibly, gave the Rangers their first lead in over 60 innings. It also snapped the longest drought without a home run for the Rangers since 1990.
