Baseball Prospectus organizational rankings: The Texas Rangers' farm system ranks 9th in the Baseball Prospectus organizational rankings released today.
The Rangers dropped from 2nd last year, which isn't a surprise, as Jurickson Profar was #1 and Mike Olt was in the top 30 in the overall rankings last season, while there is not the same sort of top-ranked talent in the farm now. Still, the farm is in good shape, and Jason Parks predicts it will rank higher a year from now.
Among A.L. West teams, Texas is behind only Houston, which is ranked 5th. Seattle is 17th, Oakland is 27th, and Anaheim is dead last among major league clubs.
