MLB Trade Rumors: Nomar Mazara to the Chicago White Sox is now setting Twitter abuzz, with Jim Bowden, Scott Merkin, Jon Heyman, T.R. Sullivan and Evan Grant all having mentioned the interest of the Pale Hose in the Texas Rangers outfielder in the past half hour.
The White Sox have had interest in Mazara for a while, and it is sounding more and more like the Rangers will opt to clear some of their LH-hitting COF logjam by moving their right fielder, who has not developed as hoped.
One would assume that a Mazara deal is not going to bring much of a return for Texas. One would also suspect that the Rangers, who have only one open spot on the 40 man roster, have two free agent pitchers to add, and who are likely to add a major league third baseman at some point, will be seeking players who are not on the 40 man roster as part of a deal.
