Who is your favorite current Ranger - 2012
I'm 29 years old, so I try not to have a "favorite" player, someone I would defend no matter what argument was brought up against him.
However, knowing that Ian will be around for a while, I feel safe putting the old "favorite player" tag on him.
So I'm curious, who is YOUR favorite Ranger? Explain any reasons you may have for your selection in the comments section.
If your favorite player currently resides in the minors, let us know who.

4/10 OT Thread
So LSB was pretty talkative last night...
I think I might be more excited for Yu Darvish starts (at least for this season) than I was for Cliff Lee starts back in 2010.
That Kinsler extension was pretty cool as well.
And today is Neftali day!

Darvish most hyped pitcher since Dice-K, Strasburg, Cliff Lee
By Cody McCarty
It’s time to chart over the next 159 games, how Yu Darvish will compare to the most hyped pitchers in recent memory. Major League Baseball and Texas Ranger fans are no stranger to recent pitchers being claimed as the next deliver of a franchise. How will Yu do?

Closer look at the final 3 roster spots
Closer Look: Roster Spots 23, 24, 25 Filled
The Texas Rangers have filled out the finals spots of their roster adding utility infielder Alberto Gonzalez, super utility fielder Brandon Snyder and left-handed reliever Robbie Ross to the 25-man roster. With the other 22 players fairly well known for playing their role in last years championship run, or making headlines (Yu Darvish, Joe Nathan) through their acquisition, let’s take a look at the three lesser-known players.

OT II and Yu-mania
From USA Today:
Japanese pitchers often find the major league ball slicker than the one used in Japan. Darvish began experimenting with the U.S. ball last year, just as he attempted to get used to the major league norm of pitching every fifth day rather than the once a week common in Japan.
He has adapted to a spring training that is several weeks shorter than the Japanese version, even waiting until his third spring start to pitch from a windup.
Rangers manager Ron Washington says he'll be watching especially closely as Darvish works in the Texas heat this summer. Tonight's game-time temperature is forecast at 78. Darvish's next two starts will be in Minneapolis and Detroit before he gets another home game. He pitched home games in a dome in Sapporo, Japan.
Tonight, he'll pitch under a microscope

April 9 OT
The Kola Superdeep Borehole (Russian: Кольская сверхглубокая скважина) (Transliteration: Kolskaya sverkhglubokaya skvazhina) is the result of ascientific drilling project of the Soviet Union on the Kola Peninsula. The project attempted to drill as deep as possible into the Earth's crust. Drilling began on 24 May 1970 using the Uralmash-4E, and later the Uralmash-15000 series drilling rig. A number of boreholes were drilled by branching from a central hole. The deepest, SG-3, reached 12,262 metres (40,230 ft) in 1989, and is the deepest hole ever drilled, and the deepest artificial point on earth.[1] For two decades it was also the world's longest borehole, in terms of measured depth along the well bore, until surpassed in 2008 by 12,289 m (40,318 ft) long Al Shaheen oil well inQatar, and in 2011 by 12,345 metres (40,502 ft) long Sakhalin-I Odoptu OP-11 Well (offshore the Russian island Sakhalin).[2]

Thank You
I just want to thank everyone for the Lone Star Ball hospitality yesterday. It was nice to shake a few hands and talk Rangers Baseball. And trying not sound to much like Guy Fieri, Jesse on the grill was money. Even though the ballgame didn't turn the way we wanted, that was a great gathering before the game. I can't imagine another ballclub having any better supporters than the friends I met yesterday.
Again thank you...I enjoyed visiting with you.
