Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Braves announced several roster moves that will occur prior to Tuesday's game against the Florida Marlins as MLB rosters expand in September. The Braves will purchase the contracts of catcher Corky Miller and right- handed pitcher James Parr from Triple-A Richmond. Miller is a career .179 hitter in parts of eight seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, and Atlanta. The 32-year-old is hitting .093 with one homer and three RBI in 54 at-bats with the Braves this season. To make room on the 40-man roster for Miller and Parr, the Braves will transfer outfielder Matt Diaz and right-handed pitcher Rafael Soriano, both done for the season, from the 15-day to 60-day disabled list.
