Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Washington Nationals infielder Ronnie Belliard left Thursday's contest against the Atlanta Braves with a right groin strain. Belliard pulled up lame when beating out an infield single in the seventh inning. He clutched his right leg after hitting the bag and limped to the dugout under his own power. Kory Casto came in to pinch run for Belliard, who was 3-for-3 in the game, increasing his batting average to .287 on the season.
