PrintQuiet Sunday, in terms of Rangers stuff out there...
Gil LeBreton has a column up, talking about the Rangers interest in some Japanese free agents. I'm an advocate of pursuing Kusoke Fukudome, of course...but Japanese starter Hiroki Kuroda, I'm leery of. Japanese starting pitchers have been pretty hit-and-miss, and I'd be reluctant to see the Rangers dump the kind of money we'd be talking about for a guy who, it is hoped, is a nice middle-of-the-road starter.

4 years, $15 million? It seems like a no-brainer that he'd play the odds and come to MLB. I wonder what he'll get here.
Kuroda
I think Grant said it well last week when he suggested that the Rangers should not sign or trade for a pitcher that isn't (or doesn't project to be) better than Millwood. There is no reason to add even more end of the rotation guys than they already have. Kuroda might be fine, but I'd rather see them aim higher.
