Joe Kennedy dead at 28

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3124303

Absolutely terrible news. Obviously, thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and fans.
He didn't have any sort of long-term illness as far as I know.

28 years old. I'll never understand how these things happen.

Just hope
that since it was Thanksgiving that he was around his family and loved ones.  This is terrible news and unless there was some sort of long-term illness obviously very sudden to all of his family.

I remember Joe as an Oakland A.

Thoughts to his family and friends and a reminder to all to tell those you hold dearest how much you care for them when you have the chance, as you never know when things like this will happpen.

Too
Young, too soon, too untimely.  Very sad news.  RIP.

how..
"The cause of death is unknown at this time," Lapa said. "The best guess at this point is either a heart attack or a brain aneurysm. The way he died was sudden. There is no reasonable explanation for what happened."

sickening...

Unfortunately...
...I have a feeling that this is just the beginning.  We'll be seeing dozens of major leaguers dying suddenly, for no apparent reason over the next decade or so.

I'm not saying Kennedy was using PEDs that could have adversely affected his heart.  But it's a possibility and something we shouldn't be too surprised to see quite a bit of over the next 10-20 years.

I doubt it
There are a lot more former NFL players out there, and there has been a lot more PED abuse there for a lot longer, but you aren't seeing an epidemic of these sorts of deaths among former football players...

"deaths among former football players"
I think those definitely exist, we just aren't hearing about 2/3 of them ...

very sad news. Poor guy, I feel for his loved ones...

God Bless

You're hijacking the thread and being repetitive. Move forward.
