Only the Nats are worse than the Rangers

The new BP Hit List is out, and the Rangers are sitting at #29, ahead of only the Washington Nationals.

Also, Evan Grant was doing live blogging from the doubleheader yesterday, if you want to go back and re-live some of the unpleasantness from yesterday's debacle.

Mike Young
Any chance he approaches Wash, like he approached Buck 3 years ago about moving back to SS, and volunteers to bat 8th for a few weeks or so until he gets back on track?

I know he's not the only player sucking right now, but he is sucking at one of the more important spots in the batting order.

money
it really is too bad that baseball contracts don't come with money back guarantee's or warranties or anything

I enjoyed Hank Conger's grass roots campaign video; that was posted on the hit list.

No
he has a fairly ironclad no trade.

Sure
We'll just need to kick in, oh, maybe $7 mill per year. Worked before.
Well Mr. Burns had done it. The power plant had won it. With Roger Clemens clucking all the while.

MY and Tex will be ok
most sucessful lineups don't depend on two players, (see yankees) - Almost every question mark on the Rangers is not working out.  The GM hasn't done his job probably cause the payroll limitations won't let him.

Kinsler chat
Two amusing things. First was this exchange:

tomback24: Out of all of your cousins, who is your favorite?

Kinsler: You are, okay?

And the 2nd baseman he looks up to is "Ryan Sandberg."

BTW
The ex-Rangers, the (New)Senators, were called the Nats by local DC media in the 1960s.
