Hello, 3rd place!!!!
Woo-hoo!!!!
Yeah, yeah, it is only a tie for 3rd, and we'll be right back in 4th tomorrow if the A's beat Seattle Monday night, but for now, I'm going to be happy that the Rangers are out of 4th place for the first time since an 8-7 extra inning loss to the Indians on April 25 put them there...

Now, they're back where they belong: the middle of the pack.

How far are they...
Good look AJM...
Couldn't watch the game
nadel called it...
last shot into the club level was by the great Kevin Mench a couple of years ago... only 12 homers have gone that deep since the Ballpark opened in '94.

Go Lumberkings!
I'm much happier with third place

Hell with the high draft choice, let's see some .500 ball and "progress."

No Chase I actually
I think he meant
Let's see...
12-2 is a heck of a clip. Almost not unlike the kinds of runs that the A's went on when Washington was with them. Maybe he brought some of that magic over with him? It's been great to see a season where the A's didn't go on a ridiculous run starting in August.
.500 finish would be great if it keeps the Rangers in the bottom half of the majors.
Never woulda thunk it
Washington makes some screwy decisions. They're well documented and I kind of had a feeling it would be like that, but they're playing good baseball and that's all that matters.
Perhaps he had a problem getting his first spring training organized and up and running? They sure looked like shit at the beginning of the year. Maybe he learned a few things and will correct that for next season.
The offense is still bad, in my opinion, but they're not quite as reliant on the long ball, it seems, and if they continue with that they're going to be in good shape. Add a couple of guys who can actually hit and they'd be in pretty fair shape there.
Rotation's always a wild card. And I'm still wondering if Hank Blalock is a fluke. If he finishes strong I'd advocate for his trade this winter. The bullpen has really been a surprise. Even though they've had some shaky outings of late, how they've managed to pitch so well all year long for that many innings is beyond me.
