Colon to the BoSox
Boston has apparently reached a deal with Bartolo Colon, which gives them some insurance since Curt Schilling apparently won't be ready to go at the start of the season.
I had thought that Chicago had a deal in place to bring Colon in, but apparently not...

Colon's toast
Also, the Mets nearly signed Colon earlier in the off-season, but retreated quickly after checking out his medical reports. Not a good indicator of future health, I wouldn't think.
Being a minor league deal, it's a low-risk commitment - that is, unless he implodes and loses several games early for Boston.
