Questions and Thanks

I just want to thank Adam and all of the Rangers fans that post on Lone Star Ball.

When I get a chance I always look through all of the comments made here to see if there is something I can help somebody with, maybe answer a question or two.

We are about a week away from individual tickets going on sale...please keep in mind, if you have a question about the Rangers that you think I might be able to help you with, please post here or you can always e-mail me at cmorgan@texasrangers.com or you can call me at 817 273-5006...I don't always have an answer right away, but I can usually find the person you need to talk to.

Again, I appreciate your support of the Rangers and please let me know if I can help you in any way.

Thanks for your time

Chuck Morgan

First off...
thanks for posting here and in other forums and answering any questions that may come up.

Secondly,

I think it was last off season or the one before you had posted in on the Newberg forums once about all the changes that they have planned for the Ballpark. I can't remember what all they had planned and was curious if they had made any changes this offseason?

Changes at the ballpark
Escher....

Very few changes this year.  You are going to see a lot of construction around the outside of the park...
They have extended Road To Six Flags on the north side of the ballpark, it now runs through to Nolan Ryan Expressway.
Sometime in March and April, dirt will start moving on Glorypark, a development by Mr. Hicks that will be similar to Victory Park in downtown Dallas, it will include "Rangers Alley"....plans call for Randol Mill to be only a 2 lane road on the south side of the ballpark...with shops, restaurants, bars, movie theater...it will remind some of the area outside of Wrigley Field or Fenway Park.
But as far as on the inside...no major changes.

Thanks

Chuck

Thank you
for taking the time to answer these questions and keep up the great work. I know it's Ranger season when I walk into the ballpark and hear your voice on the PA.

you should steal the title from Brett Hull now that he doesn't use the title anymore...

Fun
I have been very lucky in my life to have worked in toy departments like the Grand Ole Opry and for a couple Major League Baseball teams.

I have seen a lot of fun.

no problem
figured that if some people are having trouble finding out where ST is, they might not know your name.

by ab03 on Feb 25, 2008 1:46 PM CST up reply actions

How???
I find it pretty amazing that a fan would know about this website but NOT know where ST is. I could be wrong, but I think most mainstream fans have never heard of LSB (Sorry Adam).  However, I would think that that same mainstream fan DOES know where ST is.

That was a pretty bizarre diary.

ST?
I don't think I know what ST is. I just recently discovered Lone Star Ball, though.

Look, I'm your anomoly!

Spring Training = ST
And if you're new to LSB, here's another tip: "Pop-up" is the nickname for Rod Barajas around here.

Oh, and welcome, BTW.

Not a problem, wouldn't expect you would...appreciate your support for the Rangers in New York

Thanks

Sorry, Chuck, I had no clue who you were.

The last time I went to a Rangers game was more than 18 years ago :p....

Chuck...
You are the best.  You don't know how much we appreciate you.  Looking forward to hearing you many, many, times this summer.

Hey Chuck!
Wow, Adam scored both Chuck and CJ! :-) LOL  Good to see you over here and as cool as always.  I just ordered my opening day tickets...it'll be my first Rangers opening day (just my luck they aren't playing the Red Sox this year!) but I am going to be in town for a seminar anyway so I thought, why not...

PS:  Didn't I read not that long ago that Kelley signed a deal with...the Dodgers?

http://www.mvn.com/milb-rangers

For old times sake...C'mon Kelly! :-)

by Beverly23 on Feb 25, 2008 6:12 PM CST reply actions

Thanks Beverly
You did hear correctly....

Kelley left for Dodgertown this morning.  He had a good  year with the Fort Worth Cats last year.
He played in Fargo for a couple of years.  The great Dodger SS Maury Wills was the radio analyst in Fargo...Maury and Kelley are pretty good friends...Maury then saw him again last summer in Fort Worth....Maury recommended the Dodgers sign him and they did last November...we'll see what happens.

Back where you belong
If Kelley plays ball anything like his old man he will be just fine with the Dodgers. I had the priviledge of playing along side Mr. Morgan when he played American Legion ball in S. Illinois more years ago than we want to admit.

Glad to see you back with the Rangers.

Let me know if you ever get out to L.A.

Your old friend.
