Rangers Outfield Situation for 2010. Who should the Rangers go with? I believe the odd man out might be either Byrd or Cruz. Murphy is a consistant bat and defensive presence and Hamilton's bat should make a return in 2010 with health. Barbon is a speedster and a good average guy that shouldn't be forgotten moved. While Cruz has some pop, he hasn't shown much else and his range in the outfield is suspect. Byrd can be streaky with the bat but can make the catches you need to stay in the game. I wonder what kind of pitching the Rangers could add with a trade involving Cruz or Byrd. I would hate to see Byrd go to the Angels like Gary Matthews Jr.
