Washington State's defense has been phenomenal so far. The Cougars went on a 28-0 run to start the game against Mississippi Valley State last weekend and won 76-25. Washington State then held Fairleigh Dickinson to 33 points in the 22-point win Tuesday night.

OT: Pacman Jones Reinstated

w00t! My new favorite dumbass is back!

Hit me, ESPN:

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The NFL is giving Adam "Pacman" Jones another chance.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday the suspended cornerback has been reinstated by league commissioner Roger Goodell, but will not play this Sunday or the following game on Thanksgiving. That would peg his return for Dec. 7 at Pittsburgh.

Jerry Jones said Adam Jones could return to practice Monday. The owner said the player would have "limited participation" this week, but would not be part of full-squad practices or conditioning.

Pacman was suspended Oct. 14, a week after getting into an alcohol-related scuffle with a team-paid bodyguard. He played six games after missing the entire 2007 season for the Tennessee Titans because of repeated legal troubles.

With Felix Jones returning to practice, there starts to be a little bit of hope coming back. I'll try hard not to think about that part where all the wins in the playoffs would have to come on the road. . .

You should check out the original thread. It's epic.

@Portland 80, Washington 74, @Howard 47, Oregon State 45, @Oregon 66, Northern Colorado 64. Ladies and gentlemen, your Pacific-10 Conference! Look for the Pac-10 to divide pretty neatly somewhere above Berkeley this season, with Washington State plugging for honorary SoCal status to escape the drag.

NFL Overtime Changes

Thought I'd put this to a BtB poll.

So my idiotic friend posed an idea that amazed me in its possible intelligence (considering the source) on how to "fix" the NFL overtime.

Very simple: first team to 6 wins. So you need two field goals or a touchdown. It's not field-goal sudden death, it's not going to piss off people who hate the college shoot out format, it's not necessary to take an eternity.

I'm not sold on it yet, but I think I like it, and definitely more than the current system.

What do you think?

Poll
Do you like the idea of NFL OTs being settled by the first team to score 6 points?
Yes, I like it.

I think I like it, but I'm not sure at the moment.

I don't like it, I like the current format.

I don't like it, I like the college format.

I don't like it; first touchdown should win, not field goal.

I don't like it, I like something else.

What would it be like if the real world sounded like the LSB comments section?

I'm going to go ask my mother how Dshepp's ass tastes.

Warning: salty language.

ESPN's Pac 10 preview.

It's predictably awful, minus Andy Katz.
