Rosenthal on Laird, among others

Ken Rosenthal's latest notes column includes this bit on Gerald Laird:

Rangers catcher Gerald Laird is a hot commodity, drawing trade interest from the Padres, Rockies, Blue Jays and Devil Rays, among other clubs. Braves catcher Johnny Estrada also would be a fit for some of those teams. Laird, 26, could be one of several chips the Rangers use to add pitching.

Not too surprising, given that Laird is a good, cheap catcher that the Rangers haven't seen too interested in developing themselves.

Other interesting names out there, per Rosenthal, are Bobby Abreu, whom Pat Gillick apparently is looking to deal (and whom I'd love to see in Texas), and Javier Vazquez, who, of course, has demanded a trade.
