New problems for Barry Bonds

In the wake of his third knee surgery a couple of weeks ago, Barry Bonds has been on 24 hour antibiotic I.V. treatment, apparently dealing with a post-surgical infection.

As Rangers fans know from following the Vince Sinisi situation, these sorts of infections can be very problematic, and Bonds is apparently supposed to be on the antibiotics indefinitely. It is unknown how long he'll be getting this treatment, and he can't rehab until the infection gets cleared up.

So no telling when, or if, Bonds will be returning...
