The ESPN announcers for the Rangers/Braves game were just discussing David Ortiz, talking about how Kevin Millar proclaimed him the greatest clutch hitter ever, and saying that he has a good argument...

Let's look at the career numbers for Ortiz:

Career overall: .279/.360/.521
With runners on base: .286/.372/.493
With RISP: .283/.369/.476
With RISP and 2 Outs: .263/.370/.488

So Ortiz hits worse in "clutch" situations than he does overall...
