The Yanks, Wetteland, and Matthews

Well, it looks like we have more John Wetteland controversy coming.

Last season, Ozzie Guillen complained about John Wetteland being in uniform, because he thought it put Texas over the number of uniformed coaches they were allowed.

Now, the Yankees are apparently going to complain to MLB about Wetteland being in uniform last night, giving the Rangers seven uniformed coaches, rather than the six allowed.

The Post piece also mentions Gary Matthews Jr. as a possible trade target for the Yanks. If the Yankees wanted to give anything of value for Matthews, I say, make the deal.
