The New York Daily News says talks between the Yanks and Rangers involving Soriano "haven't been productive, because the Rangers want pitching for Soriano, and the Yanks can't provide that.
Personally, I'd be fine with landing prospects for Soriano, if you could turn around and flip those prospects for the pitching you want, be it now or in the offseason.
In addition, a columnist out in San Fran wants the Giants to try to land Soriano. This column, though, seems to be more what the Giants should do, versus what they are doing, so I don't know that it has much meaning...
