In his latest "Inside Dish", Ken Rosenthal talks about the possibility of Alfonso Soriano heading back to New York, either with the Mets or the Yanks.
The Yankees are largely dismissed by Rosenthal, given the lack of pitching they have to offer. The Mets are viewed as a better candidate, as Rosenthal mentions the Rangers' previous interest in Jose Reyes, and suggests that Victor Diaz and Yusmeiro Petit is a deal that would interest Texas.
I have to say, I'd be intrigued by an offer like that...Diaz could take over in right field immediately, and plugging Petit into the Frisco rotation with Diamond, Danks and Volquez would give Frisco the most promising minor league rotation, for not just the Rangers but any team, in recent memory.
I'd still like to try to pry Lastings Milledge away, but Diaz and Petit for Soriano would be very nice...
