Preston Wilson to the Nationals

Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Nationals and Rockies have agreed on a deal that would send outfielder Preston Wilson to the Nationals for Zach Day and J.J. Davis, conditioned on physicals, the teams agreeing on how much of Wilson's salary Colorado will pick up, and Wilson waiving his no-trade clause.

If this goes through, it is good news (as far as I'm concerned)...the Cubs were one of the teams seriously pursuing Wilson, and if he's off the market, it would seem to make them more likely to pursue Alfonso Soriano.

I want Jerome Williams in Texas...
