As you folks probably know, I almost never post OT stuff on here.
And one of the things I regularly hear is that I take baseball too seriously, that my life must be pretty good if I don't have anything more to complain about than Mark DeRosa playing right field.
Believe me when I say that I know how lucky I am to be in a position to be able to complain about Rangers management, rather than, say, not having enough to eat, or having to wonder about whether I'll have a roof over my head next week. I understand that what happens with the Rangers, or any other team, is just a game. It isn't real life...it is a diversion.
Real life is what is happening on the Gulf Coast right now.
And if any of you who have watched what is going on out there in Louisiana and Mississippi and Alabama have the desire and the means to help, I'd encourage you to make a donation to the Red Cross.
The link I've provided allows you to donate as little as $5 via credit card, and it takes less than a minute to fill out.
Just something to think about this morning...
