A couple of noteworthy items...Grant says the Rangers shouldn't trade Blalock, that Kevin Millwood or John Thomson are probably better fits this offseason than A.J. Burnett, and had this to say about the clubhouse situation:
The vibe I've gotten in the clubhouse over the last month is unlike any I've experienced in nearly 15 years around major league baseball teams. At different times, there was anger, confusion and a lack of trust. In a column on the unrest in the clubhouse, The Morning News' Tim Cowlishaw, who has more experience than me, pointed out he's heard grumblings before in other locker rooms and clubhouses, particularly pointed at Jimmy Johnson and Ken Hitchcock. But, he too, wrote he'd never heard anything like the unhappiness in the Rangers' clubhouse.
