Wednesday morning thoughts...

New, comments

Nice game 1. Ugly game 2, although Edison Volquez was encouraging.

Oh, and Mark Teixeira is pretty good.

According to T.R. Sullivan in the S-T, the Rangers are considering calling up Tim Crabtree.

Why they would do that, I have no idea...I guess they are concerned that unless they get Brocail and Wasdin some gritty veteran help out there, they'll have to actually start giving meaningful innings to some guys who might contribute next year.

Randy Galloway pontificates on the accusations of sign stealing...

Evan Grant compares Edison Volquez to Bartolo Colon...

And the new DMN Rangers newsletter is out...

A couple of noteworthy items...Grant says the Rangers shouldn't trade Blalock, that Kevin Millwood or John Thomson are probably better fits this offseason than A.J. Burnett, and had this to say about the clubhouse situation:

The vibe I've gotten in the clubhouse over the last month is unlike any I've experienced in nearly 15 years around major league baseball teams. At different times, there was anger, confusion and a lack of trust. In a column on the unrest in the clubhouse, The Morning News' Tim Cowlishaw, who has more experience than me, pointed out he's heard grumblings before in other locker rooms and clubhouses, particularly pointed at Jimmy Johnson and Ken Hitchcock. But, he too, wrote he'd never heard anything like the unhappiness in the Rangers' clubhouse.
