I was at the game last night, and my thoughts on Loe were that he did a real nice job of bouncing back after giving up the grand slam, and that, while yesterday's game was disappointing, Loe handled himself well, and those sorts of outings are all part of the development process.
Kathleen O'Brien in the S-T says that Buck was as impressed with Loe's outing yesterday as any he's had, mainly because of the way he fought back after getting down early. Loe and Gerald Laird both said Loe didn't have his best stuff last night, with Laird opining that that made Loe's efforts even more impressive.
O'Brien also has a lengthy piece on Hank Blalock's second half struggles. Hank has been hitting the ball better of late, but I have to admit...my favorite Ranger has had a disappointing season this year.
And on the slump front...Alfonso Soriano is 2 for his last 26, with his OBP dropping to .311, the lowest it has been since mid-July.
