So Mark Teixeira took the A.L. RBI lead with his 3-RBI game today, giving him 125 on the season.
That's a lot of RBIs, even for a guy who has played every game this season. More than I would expect, given who is hitting in front of him...
So I figured I'd take a look at his splits this season...
Bases Empty: .262/.331/.440
Runners On: .324/.410/.684
RISP: .353/.439/.719
RISP w/2 Outs: .315/.419/.836
That certainly goes a long way towards explaining how Teixeira has racked up so many RBIs...
