A couple of notes this morning...

And as the season gets closer to the end, the Rangers notes get fewer and fewer...although T.R. Sullivan has a couple of things this morning...

Sullivan touches on Ian Kinsler not being called up, but there's no real explanation for why. Sullivan does say that it is more likely Kinsler goes to AAA again next season than it is that Soriano will get traded (and thus free up a spot for Kinsler). My position on the Soriano situation is well established at this point, of course...

Jeff Zimmerman's career is probably over. Per Sullivan, after another season of setbacks in 2005, Zimmerman is going to take a year off from baseball-related activities, and then try to make a comeback in 2007.

Finally, Chris Young is going to have a side session today, which will determine the next step for him, and go a long way in determining whether he'll be shut down or will pitch again this year.
