Pudge, the Unhappy Tiger

Shocking news out of Detroit...

Two years after signing a 4 year, $40 million deal with the Tigers after the 2003 season -- a season in which the Tigers lost 119 games -- Pudge Rodriguez is now unhappy, and is making noises about wanting out.

Of course, 2005's slimmer, sleeker Pudge is having a lousy season this year anyway, sporting a .286/.300/.464 line and a .267 EQA. So if he wants out, he's probably out of luck, unless the Tigers are willing to pick up a chunk of the $20 million he's owed over the next two years...I don't think there's going to be a huge market for a 34 year old catcher owed $10 million per coming off of a bad season.
