Good news...the Rangers have re-upped Rod Barajas on a one year deal...
At $3.2 million, it is more than I think Barajas is probably worth...but on the other hand, it is a one-year deal, rather than the multi-year contract I was afraid would be doled out, and Barajas is a free agent after the season.
Plus, we have this little snippet in Evan Grant's article:
Barajas will again be the Rangers' starting catcher, though it's likely Gerald Laird will get more playing time this year than backup Sandy Alomar Jr. did in 2005.
