Managerial candidates and MLB minority hiring requirements

I wanted to make a post real quick to clarify an issue that has caused some disagreement in the comments in the managerial list post below...

MLB does require a team to interview a minority candidate "for any meaningful positions in the front office or dugout that become available."

And for what it is worth, every candidate except for Trey Hillman is a minority (Wakamatsu is half-Japanese), so it seems fair to assume that all the candidates are being interviewed on their merits, not to meet any MLB requirement.
