Crasnick with some g.m. meetings stuff

Jerry Crasnick has a "six burning questions" item up, relating to the ongoing g.m. meetings.

One of the questions is "Alfonso Soriano or Carlos Lee?", with Soriano being the runaway winner. What I was a little amused by was Crasnick saying that teams loved Soriano's "energy"...whatever else he brings to the table, I've never thought of Soriano as an "energy" guy.

Also a question about which "second-tier starter" (a group that included both Vicente Padilla and Adam Eaton) those polled liked the most, with Ted Lilly and Padilla getting the most love.

I'm coming around to the idea that the Rangers should offer Padilla a 3 year, $24 million deal, with a $10 million team option that vests if he has 570 or so innings over the first three years. I don't know if that will be enough to get it done, though...
