ChiSox trade Neal Cotts

The Chicago White Sox have traded lefty reliever Neal Cotts to the Cubs, for righty reliever (and former first round pick) David Aardsma and lefty relief prospect Carlos Vasquez.

Cotts seemingly had turned the corner in 2005, having a terrific season while getting his gopher problem under control, but reverted in 2006, posting a 5.17 ERA while allowing 12 homers in just 54 innings.

The Cubs got Aardsma from the Giants in the LaTroy Hawkins deal, and he was okay last year, although he posted about the same peripherals as Cotts did in 2006.
