The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Cubs and Soriano have agreed to an 8 year, $136 million deal, contingent on him passing a physical on Monday.
Given that the Tribune owns the Cubs, I think we can take this as a done deal.
I'm just glad that, in a few years, we won't have to hear about the Chan Ho or ARod contracts anymore, since this one will dwarf it in terms of monumental stupidity.
