Update [2006-12-4 22:56:51 by Adam J. Morris]: -- Kat O'Brien is reporting 3 years and between $33 and $34 million, with a $15 million option for the fourth year. I'm guessing we're looking at something like $10 million in 2007, $11 million in 2008, and $12 million in 2009, with a $750K buyout or something like that...

Update [2006-12-4 23:6:50 by Adam J. Morris]: -- T.R. Sullivan's article says that the deal is 3 years, $33 million with a 4th year option at $12 million.

He also says that the two Ranger relievers most sought after are Akinori Otsuka and C.J. Wilson, but that the Rangers are wanting to hang on to them, and are more interested in listening to offers for Rick Bauer, Wes Littleton, Scott Feldman, and Frankie Francisco.

Update [2006-12-4 23:50:54 by Adam J. Morris]: -- Evan Grant says it is 3 years, a little under $34 million, with a 2010 option for $12 million.

$12 million seems more realistic than $15 million...I'm guessing the initial $15 million number that was out there was a mistake...
