A few items on a slow Monday...
Dayn Perry discusses the Roger Clemens sweepstakes...he's off-base on a couple of items -- for example, saying that if Clemens were signed, the 5th spot would be up for grabs amongst Loe, Dominguez, Benoit, Wasdin and Diamond, when in reality Benoit and Wasdin are locks for the pen, and Josh Rupe and C.J. Wilson more likely to make the rotation than Diamond -- but it is worth a look.
Anaheim has reportedly upped their offer to Jeff Weaver for two years, estimated to be at around $9 million per. That signing would make me happy, for the same reason the Garret Anderson contract extension made me happy a couple of years ago. Anaheim would be tying up payroll in a guy who isn't that good.
