Rainout for today's game in Surprise, apparently just the second for the Rangers since they moved to Arizona.
Kam Loe was supposed to pitch today, but with the rainout, he pitched a simulated game instead, indoors.
Meanwhile, in bigger news, T.R. Sullivan reports that Edison Volquez, C.J. Wilson, and Thomas Diamond all appear to be out of the running for the #5 spot in the rotation, Volquez and Diamond because they need more time in the minors, Wilson because his hamstring injury has limited him this spring.
The Final Four are apparently Juan Dominguez, Josh Rupe, Rick Bauer, and (ugh) R.A. Dickey.
Sullivan also touched on the possibility that one of the five Ranger outfielders (Mench, Wilkerson, Dellucci, GMJ, and Nix) won't make the team out of spring training. With Phil Nevin seemingly having locked down a starting job at DH, Sullivan suggested that Erubiel Durazo or Adrian Brown might stick instead of one of those five.
GMJ's current injury makes things a bit more complicated, but it still seems like the obvious solution would be to send Nix to AAA.
