TNSTAAPP -- Josh Rupe edition

Josh Rupe leaves camp with elbow pain, and the Rangers are "concerned that it may be a serious injury." Rupe's velocity was down in his start yesterday.

Obviously, the immediate fear is that we are dealing with ligament damage that will result in T-J surgery, which would cause Rupe to miss the entire season. But even if that's not the case, serious elbow pain likely means Rupe is out of the running for the #5 starter job, and makes it more likely the Rangers are going to try to trade for a veteran starter before the season starts.

Bad, bad news for the Rangers, whatever the outcome, and another reminder as to how fragile pitchers can be.
