Monday morning Rangers stuff

It is so much nicer to start the morning off after a Rangers win. Particularly one like yesterday's...Vicente Padilla wasn't great, but he was solid enough, the bullpen threw up zeroes again, and Brad Wilkerson broke out of his slump long enough to drive in the winning runs...

Buck says Wilkerson is staying in the leadoff spot, despite his early season struggles. And Wilkerson says his problem at the plate is mechanical, not due to his shoulder, which (if true) is good news...

Jan Hubbard has a write-up on Ian Kinsler's fast start. If Kinsler continues to hit well during this upcoming road trip, I wouldn't be surprised to see him move up the lineup...putting him second in the order, and sliding Young and Teixeira each down a couple of slots, would make a lot of sense.

Jamey Newberg has a Q&A over at the Ranger website on procedural rules...

And just a quick observation...it is very early, but Jason Botts, Drew Meyer, and Vince Sinisi have all gotten off to very good starts in the minors...
