David Dellucci has been traded to the Phillies for Robinson Tejeda and Jake Blalock.
Interesting deal...with Dellucci, the Rangers were selling high, as he had a career year last season, and is a free agent after the end of 2006.
Tejeda had a solid debut season last year, and a very good home run rate, but he's more of a flyball pitcher. I'd guess he goes into the rotation, instead of John Koronka.
Blalock is a throw-in, a fringe prospect right now...
I like the move, I guess...I'm not overwhelmed by Tejeda, who had control problems and a history of allowing a lot of homers, but I'd rather have him than Dellucci right now.
