A bleah Thursday morning

It kind of sucks to try to do a morning post after a game like last night's.

Those sorts of games make me want to avoid sports sites and ESPN for the entire day, and do my best to not think about the Rangers.

You just can't give up a 6-1 lead in the 7th inning to a bad offensive team in a pitcher's park. A game like that sucks the life out of me...I can't even imagine how much it must suck the life out of the players, to see your closer blow up, to see Carl Everett and his career 701 OPS against lefties hit a walk-off homer against C.J. Wilson.

The Rangers really need to bounce back tonight, if only for my sake.

Putting things in perspective, though...Randy Galloway has a column on Rudy Jaramillo's recovery from cancer surgery, saying that Jaramillo has been watching all the games, taking notes, and been staying in contact with the players.

Kat O'Brien has a piece on the Rangers starting pitching, which has been the strength of the team thusfar.

Buck Showalter was quick to let everyone know that Rod Barajas didn't start last night because of a stiff back...we wouldn't want anyone thinking Gerald Laird would normally get more than one start a week, after all...
