One year ago today

One year ago today, John Hart, the smartest man in baseball (according to Tom Hicks), shored up the Rangers pitching deficiencies by acquiring Kevin Gryboski and James Baldwin.

Baldwin, you will recall, was a waiver claim, while Gryboski was obtained from Atlanta for minor league RHP Matt Lorenzo.

Gryboski posted an 11.17 ERA in 9 2/3 IP as a Ranger, with a stellar 2/8 K/BB ratio, while Baldwin put up a 5.19 ERA in 17 1/3 IP.

Truly, this was a great day in Ranger history...
