Who has the higher career OPS? Rod Barajas, or Gerald Laird?
Has to be Barajas, right, given how awful Laird was after his return from his thumb injury in 2004, while Barajas had the past two seasons that were supposedly so great he deserves to continue to be the starter?
Nope.
Barajas has a career .241/.281/.410 line as of today. Laird has a career .262/.315/.395 line.
Thanks to Sharky, for talking about Laird's OPS in one of the diaries, and prompting me to check this out.
