4th of July stuff

Happy 4th of July, everyone.

Seattle lost, so the Rangers are back in second. Oakland won, so the Rangers are still 1.5 games out of first.

The Rangers are apparently wanting to err on the side of caution with Kevin Millwood. No official decision has been made, but Richard Durrett reports that the Rangers likely will skip his start on Friday, to give him extra time through the ASB to rest up and make sure he's 100% before going back on the mound.

On the injured pitcher front, Durrett also says that Rick Bauer should be available to pitch today, Kameron Loe got a cortisone injection and will be going on a rehab assignment once he isn't sore, and C.J. Wilson was activated off the minor league d.l.

Jim Reeves has a column on Mark Teixeira's slump. As frustrating as this slump is, I have to think that he's going to bust out of it soon...he's too good of a hitter not to.

And Jan Hubbard has a piece on John Rheinecker, saying that he is the "real deal." I don't know if that is the case or not, but he's looking pretty good right now...
