Nice win for the Rangers yesterday. Nice outing for Volquez, one I wish I could have watched.

Of course, Oakland also won, and thus the Rangers are still 5 games back, and still not in the race. But they are now just a half-game back of Anaheim for second place...

Kip Wells is apparently still up in the air about his next start, after hurting his foot in his last outing, although the S-T says he's optimistic about it and expects to be able to make it on schedule...

T.R. Sullivan says that the Rangers continue to look for a veteran setup man, but with the performance of the pen of late, the team is making it less of a priority. Wes Littleton has really impressed, and I would love to see the Rangers slot him in the 7th-8th inning role.
