If the A's play .500 ball the rest of the way, the Rangers have to go 27-13 the rest of the way to force a one-game playoff.
I'm not holding my breath.
I am curious, though, about who has possibly made it through waivers on the Rangers, since it is time to try to flip free-agents-to-be. If you can get something for JHJ or Matt Stairs, or (if they cleared) Adam Eaton or Mark DeRosa or Rod Barajas, you need to do it.
And I'm interested in seeing a lot more Nelson Cruz and Gerald Laird than I've been seeing lately...
